You Asked: How do I stop comparing myself with others?

Preandra, Cambridge

Great question Preandra. There might not be a single person on the planet who doesn’t grapple with this. The Buddhist teacher Daisaku Ikeda once wrote,

It’s not how you compare to others, but how you compare yourself to whom you were yesterday.

Discussions on Youth, p. 27

If we develop the mindset to improve, even just a tiny bit more than who we were yesterday, then that’s a win. So, don’t be too hard on yourself, friend. If we move forward today, before we know it, we’ll reach places we’ve never dreamed going.
